Building a Nonprofit Brand
01:00 PM at Goo (Length: 1hr)
Effective branding techniques help an organization clarify its message and establish its position. This session introduces practical advice that pushes the way nonprofits think about branding and challenges paradigms about what it takes to be effective. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of communication principles and how to establish the foundation for effective brand-building within the nonprofit arena.
Melanie Schmidt, principal of Timpano Consulting, brings over 16 years experience working with Boards of Directors and organizational leaders to connect the dots between strategy, systems and people. In recent years, her consultative coaching has been instrumental in helping to refocus organizations, recharge stakeholders, structure organizational change, build stronger brands and overhaul governance models to enhance effectiveness. Melanie is an affiliate member of the UW Center for Nonprofits and currently serves as Board President for the Business & Education Partnership.
