Exploring Creative Ways to be Fed and Nourished
09:00 AM at Goodman Community Center (Length: 1hr)
In the current economy, many Americans are now choosing between paying for monthly bills— medical, car, insurance, energy— or food for their families. Food pantries are facing a new reality, the expansion of their services from dealing with the poor to providing assistance to the working class. This panel will explore what that reality means in terms of creating sustainable food practices, creative ways to maintain nutrition, and providing comfort, care, support and dignity to both traditional populations and the working poor.
