Volunteer: The River Food Pantry

Help distribute free groceries and clothing

11:30 AM at The River Food Pantry (Length: 2hrs)

If you’ve ever wanted to know what volunteering at a food pantry is like, now is your chance. Help distribute free groceries and clothing at The River Food Pantry’s Thursday pantry session.  Please arrive at 11:30am for a brief on-site volunteer training.  By volunteering, you will help see to it that around 120 families will go home with over $100 worth of food and clothing, bringing much needed relief to family budgets already stretched thin by layoffs, chronic unemployment, overwhelming medical bills, etc.  Volunteers will need to be at The River from 11:30am to 1:30pm.  Lunch is included for all volunteers at the completion of the pantry session.  Please see our website (www.theriver-madison.org) or call 608-442-8815 with questions.
