Making Multi-Language Websites Affordable

“Globalization is an irreversible process, not an option,” - former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.  With advances in technology, and the worlds population more mobile than ever been before, the very definition of ‘community’ has changed.  Everything is more global.  For most of us, the Internet, and our websites are (or at least could be) the primary tool we use to reach out to the broader community, and keep in touch with those we have already engaged.  Organizations that work with non-English speaking groups embrace the web to tailor their communication for each and every person they engage.  They speak the language of their audience to form meaningful connections, and for some people, its the only way to reach them at all.  During my talk I’ll walk you through what it means to Localize your website, how much effort is involved, the trouble spots, and how much it typically costs.  I’ll also provide some strategies to keep the costs down and maintain flexibility so your site can continue to grow with your organization.
