Sustainable Atwood is a plan to measure, evaluate, expand and create sustainable practices, designs and systems in our neighborhood of 6,000 residents. We are a neighborhood working together to achieve: Social Sustainability, Economic Sustainability, Ecological Sustainability, Community Sustainability. Indicators guide our collective decision making in our pursuit toward sustainability. Indicators play several roles in promoting, implementing, and evaluating neighborhood sustainability, including: Establishing baseline measurements of current conditions. Establishing a common understanding and assisting in consensus-building. Evaluating whether actions are having the desired impacts. Provide data and evidence to hold ourselves and policy-makers accountable to our goals. Together we will establish and support mutual sustainability projects and goals.
